The successful candidates willpractice in Morgantown, WV.Clinical responsibilities focus on neuropsychological evaluationsof a rich variety of neurological, neurosurgical, medical andpsychiatric pediatric populations. This is a clinical position withstrong teaching and supervision expectations within our well-known,training-focused APA-accredited clinical neuropsychology internshipand our APPCN postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology.Additional teaching opportunities exist with medical students andresidents within the department and broader Health Sciences Centeron topics relevant to psychology/neuropsychology. Researchinvolvement is expected. Opportunities for imaging research mayexist; the Center for Advanced Imaging at WVU includes a Siemens3.0 Tesla magnet.Applicants must have completed an APA/CPA accredited clinicalpsychology graduate program, with an APA/CPA accredited internshipwith a neuropsychology focus, and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowshipin clinical neuropsychology. Applicants must be eligible to sit forABPP in clinical neuropsychology. A focus on pediatric clinicalneuropsychology is necessary. Immediate eligibility forlicensure in West Virginia is required. For appointment at theAssociate Professor or Professor rank, Board Certification (ABPP)as well as a demonstrated track-record of leadership, clinical andteaching excellence and scholarly activity are required. Allqualifications must be met by the time of appointment.WVU Medicine Children’s is a regional referral center forpediatric subspecialties and provides faculty direct access tohighly advanced technology and comprehensive ancillary pediatricservices. The new 150 bed Children’s Hospital and Women’s Pavilionwill have a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiaccatheterization lab/interventional radiology, epilepsy monitoringunits, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff.The hospital will include 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 31 PICUbeds, Heart Institute, and a dedicated cancer center. WVU is aLevel 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1, asit is for adults currently. The Women’s Pavilion will house a30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic.The WestVirginia University Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute ,led by Dr. Ali Rezai, is expanding to include the clinical,research, and academic missions of Neurosurgery , Neurology , and Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry , among others.
