Broadway Grosses: Hedwig Plays Record-Breaking Week Prior to Tonys

In just seven performances, the Neil Patrick Harris-led tuner grossed $1,021,707.87, beating a record held by the production during the week ending May 4. Aladdin secured a spot in the top five grossing shows for the third consecutive week, joining fellow perennial faves The Lion King, Wicked, The Book of Mormon and Kinky Boots. Meanwhile, the first show of the new season, Holler If Ya Hear Me, started performances on June 2 at the Palace Theatre. “Keep ya head up” for this Tupac tuner, which could land out of the underdogs as buzz travels.
