Child abuse on the rise in Trinidad

first_imgThe Children’s Authority of Trinidad and Tobago has reportedly identified 10,000  potential cases of child abuse in the last two years.In some instances the Authority’s hotline may have received multiple reports of abuse regarding one child.The Authority said that to date, almost 8,000 cases are receiving attention and so far, over 3,000 investigations have been completed and more than 700 families have been counselled.Additionally, the Authority has licensed nine children’s homes and over 300 visits have been conducted at more than 40 Community Residences throughout Trinidad and Tobago, to ensure compliance with legislative standards.70,000 child abuse cases recorded in Jamaica in eight yearslast_img read more

Elvir Baljić is the New Coach of Kardemir Karabukspor

first_imgElvir Baljić will lead Turkish second league team Kardemir Karabukspor for the next two years.Yesterday at the club in Karabuk, Baljić signed a contract for a period of one year, with a possibility to extend it for the same period.“I’m very happy for coming to Karabuk. I’m here to succeed, and I hope that we will succeed together. I’m hoping that we will bring the team on the place that it deserves, but we have to put a lot of effort in it.
