The militant outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) on Tuesday warned cow vigilantes in the Kashmir Valley and called for “holding those responsible for attacks on Muslims accountable for their acts”.In an e-mailed statement to a Srinagar-based wire service, LeT chief Mehmood Shah referred to the recent attack on a Muslim family by cow vigilantes at Reasi in Jammu. “We condemn the atrocities being committed on Muslims at Reasi by BJP mobs. Such brutal acts, committed in the presence of police officers, are evidence of the Indian State depriving Muslims of their rights. Humans are treated worse than animals in the name of gau raksha,” he said. A video posted online showed a mob attacking a Gujjar family on Friday.
