first_imgSouth Africa’s Quinton de Kock became the quickest wicketkeeper to have 150 dismissals to name in Test cricket. De Kock achieved the feat during the second Test against Sri Lanka in Colombo on Sunday.On the third day of the final Test, De Kock achieved the feat when he caught Dimuth Karunaratne off Lungi Ngidi in the morning session for 85 at the SSC Stadium in Colombo.Playing his 35th Test, De Kock became the fastest to reach the milestone bettering the record of Australia great Adam Gilchrist, who did it in 36 Test matches.The 25-year-old came into the Test with 148 dismissals to his name. In the first innings, De Kock had caught Karunaratne for 53 off Keshav Maharaj, who became the second South African to take 9 wickets in an innings of Test match.MATCH SCORECARDDe Kock made his Test debut against Australia at Port Elizabeth in February and has featured regularly for South Africa.Sri Lanka are 1-0 up in the series and look well on course for a series sweep.After the Test series, the two teams will play five One Day Internationals and a one-off Twenty20 International.last_img
